A song written during The Open Door sessions which missed the cut on the album. There was speculation that this song was going to be released as a B-side on the Good Enough Single (Premium Maxi CD) but this turned out to be false.
According to EvanescenceVille, this song has already been finished and published as a B-side just like Farther Away on the Bring Me To Life Single.
In May 2007, a false intro appeared online,[2] but was confirmed on EvThreads that it was fake. This fake song is called 'True' by Akira Yamaoka, and is included in BSO of the video game of Silent Hill 2.
A promo CD containing this track [along with The Last Song I'm Wasting On You, a different version of Together Again, and four instrumentals (Instrumental 1, Instrumental 2, Instrumental 3 and Instrumental 4)], was put up for sale on eBay.[3] The seller of the promo was asked by Amy's manager to withdraw the CD from sale, and the seller complied. Terry confirmed on Twitter that the track on the CD is indeed If You Don't Mind.[4]
Evanescence performed If You Don't Mind live for the first time on 4th October 2012 in Porto Alegre, Brazil; the first show of their South American tour. Amy opened the song by saying "I'm gonna do something different now, we've had this little song we've been wanting to share for about 7 years now, and finally I got tired of waiting. I can't think of any place in the entire world, where I'd rather play this song for the very first time. Brazil! This is called If You Don't Mind."[5]
On January 20 2013, the full studio version of If You Don't Mind was leaked on YouTube.
