Acoustic Tracks
2007-04-22T20:46:27Z

Rika:

Evanescence has performed many of their own songs acoustically. There is some debate as to which songs actually classify as acoustic since some of the tracks (i.e. Exodus, Breathe No More, etc.) were recorded just using piano, but as these were recorded in the studio with production, programming, etc., they are generally discounted. Here is a full list as it stands at the moment:

*[[All That I'm Living For]] ([[John LeCompt]] - Guitar, [[David Eggar]] - Cello, [[Amy Lee]] - Vocals) <ref>[http://evanescencereference.info/music/etc/All%20That%20I%27m%20Living%20For%20%28Live%20%40%20VH1.com%29.mp3.zip Listen to song from Live @VH1.com]. Can also be found on the [[Lithium Single]].</ref>
*[[Bring Me To Life]] ([[Ben Moody]] - Guitar, Amy Lee - Vocals)<ref>Can be found on the [[Bring Me To Life Single#UK DVD Single|Bring Me To Life DVD Single]].</ref>
*[[Everybody's Fool]] ([[Terry Balsamo]] - Guitar, Amy Lee - Vocals)<ref>One full recorded version is known to exist—a bootleg from an Evanescence/Seether acoustic show in Washington D.C right before the show in Maryland on 7/24/04. *[[Weight of the World]] (John LeCompt - Guitar, David Eggar - Cello, Amy Lee - Vocals)<ref>No recording of this exists, as far as we're aware - it was played at the Kerrang album launch promo appearance in London (06 SEP 2006).</ref>
Give Unto Me

{{Songs}}
== General Information ==

''Written by: [[A. Lee]] and [[B. Moody]]''

Credited as the 3rd song ever written for Evanescence, Give Unto Me was written by Amy Lee. It was originally a five-and-a-half minute long piano ballad, featuring Amy's vocals and some minor effects, that never made the cut of the [[Evanescence EP]].

The [[Sound Asleep EP]] version is a greatly re-produced instrumental synth arrangement with many musical themes from the original song. The end of this version noteably features a simmilar 'morse-code' effect as can be heard at the end of the [[Fallen]] and [[Origin]] versions of [[My Immortal]].
'''Give Unto Me - Evanescence EP Outtake'''

I've been watching you from a distance

The distance sees through your disguise

All I want from you is your hurting

I want to heal you

I want to save you from the dark

Give unto me your troubles

I'll endure your suffering

Place onto me your burden

I'll drink your deadly poison

Why should I care if they hurt you

Somehow it matters more to me

Than if I were hurting myself

Save you (save you)

I'll save you

''(Fear not the flame of my love's candle)''

Give unto me your troubles

''(Fear not the flame of my love's candle)''

I'll endure your suffering

''(Let it be the sun in your world of darkness)''

Place onto me your burden

''(Give unto me all that frightens you)''

I'll drink your deadly poison

''(I'll have your nightmares for you if you sleep soundly)''

Give unto me your troubles

''(Fear not the flame of my love's candle)''

I'll endure your suffering

''(Let it be the sun in your world of darkness)''

Place onto me your burden

''(Give unto me all that frightens you)''

I'll drink your deadly poison

''(I'll have your nightmares for you if you sleep soundly)''

Fear not the flame of my love's candle

Let it be the sun in your world of darkness

==Origin==
[http://evanescencereference.info/EvFonts/trebuc.ttf Trebuchet MS] (by Microsoft Corp.)

-The font used for the album title, song titles, lyrics, and liner notes. Use spaces to get the same look as the on the album art.

[http://h1.ripway.com/SexualFirefly/LIL.TTF Lilith] (by David Rakowski)

-This font was used in the liner notes for Amy's, Ben's and David's names next to their pictures. It appears to be the inspiration for the original Evanescence logo (just speculation, of course).

==Fallen==
[http://www.draftlight.net/aeryn/evanescence/font.php Evanescent] (by [http://www.draftlight.net/aeryn/ Aeryn])

[[Image:evaeryan.png|150px|Evanescence logo as derived from 'Evanescent' by Aeryn]]

[http://evanescencereference.info/EvFonts/evanescentC.ttf Evanescent] (as tweaked by Gyakusetsu)

-The front cover logo and current band logo as well as the lyric song titles.

-Contains an added character (the extended 'A' from the new logo) and a few characters that have been re-spaced and re-worked a bit for accuracy plus the 'Fallen' logo (can be derived by typing out "±" (alt+0177).

[[Image:evanescent.png|300px|song logos as derived from 'Evanescent' (tweaked)]]

[http://evanescencereference.info/EvFonts/AppleGaramond.ttf Apple Garamond] (bitstream inc.)

-Not exactly the font but freakishly close. Used for the liner notes and back tracklisting. Also used on the Live CD/DVD set [[Anywhere But Home]]. A slightly stretched version was used for the [[Imaginary#Spain Radio Promo Single|Imaginary Radio Single]].

==Anywhere But Home==
[http://evanescencereference.info/EvFonts/AnywhereButHome.ttf Anywhere] (by Gyakusetsu)

-Used as the logo and tracklisting. (This font looks fine when small, but is rather jagged when enlarged; not recommended for use as a normal typeface.)

[http://evanescencereference.info/EvFonts/abh1.ttf Anywhere But Home] (by Brittany)

-Same as previous font, a bit more correct when it comes to the alphabet (looks better when enlarged and when used as a normal typeface).

==The Open Door Era==
[http://www.dafont.com/the-last-font-im-wasting-on-you.font The Last Font I'm Wasting On You] ([http://evanescencereference.info/EvFonts/lastfontwastingonyou.ttf Mirror]) (by Gyakusetsu)

-Used for the track listings on the back and lyrics pages of the album. File also contains an accurate 'e' logo and "the Open door" cover logo.

[http://h1.ripway.com/SexualFirefly/MTCORSVA.TTF Monotype Corsiva] (The Monotype Corporation)

-Used on international releases of The Open Door when a lowercase typeface was preferable. If you use the capital letters from '''The Last Font I'm Wasting On You''' and the lowercase letters from Monotype Corsiva, you get the desired effect. See the example of the [[Call Me When You're Sober]] logo:

[[Image:Cmwyslogos.png|300px|Call Me When You're Sober]]

[http://evanescencereference.info/EvFonts/LFAX.TTF Lucida Fax Regular] (Bigelow & Holmes inc.)

-Used in the liner notes and acknowledgements sections of the album and any place else where there is text (if it isn't The Last Font I'm Wasting On You, it's Lucida Fax). see the example:

[http://evanescencereference.info/EvFonts/Curly_Art_Nouveau.ttf Curly Art Nouveau] ([http://www.houseoflime.com/ House of Lime])

-Used in the promotion of [[The Open Door]]. Contains the curly logo decorations and other fancy curvy characters including the one used in the [[EvThreads.com]] Version 1 logo and on [http://ww.evanescence.com Evanescence.com].

[http://evanescencereference.info/EvFonts/frank.ttf FrankRuehl] (The Monotype Corporation)

-Also used in the promotion era of [[The Open Door]]. Used on the radio promo for [[Call Me When You're Sober]] and other various logos.

=Logos throughout the years=
==Old Logo==
'''[http://evanescencereference.info/EvFonts/evanescence_oldlogo.psd The old Evanescence logo]'''

-There is no font of the older Ev logo, however on Evanescence's old pre-[[Fallen]] website, there was a photoshop vector hosted that had the logo as seen on the [[Bring Me To Life Single#Daredevil Radio Promo|Bring Me To Life Daredevil Radio Promo]] .

==The Evanescence Logo==

-The logo we all know and love. Used on 'Fallen,' on all the promotional singles, and on promotional merchandise. Can be easily derived from the 'Evanescent' font by typing the characters "EVan+escéncç" (I know its weird, but you've gotta trust me that it works).

==The Newer Logo==

'''[http://evanescencereference.info/EvFonts/evanescence_newlogo.psd The Anywhere But Home and The Open Door era logo]'''

-Has an altered 'A' character with an extended right leg. Used only on the [[Anywhere But Home]] cover, but when the [[The Open Door]] era came around, it began getting used everywhere from the album cover to t-shirts and stickers. Can easily be derived from the 'Evanescent' (as tweaked by Gyakusetsu) font by typing the characters "EVön+escéncç" (I know its weird, but you've gotta trust me that it works).

[[Image:evNEWlogo.png|400px|The New, Altered Logo]]

==Circular e Logo==

The simplest of design. This logo is the lowercase letter 'e' and, when turned 180o, looks exactly the same. Depending on whom you listen to, it was either a symbol originally drawn by [[Ben Moody]] or developed by a hired artist under the supervision of Ben and [[Amy Lee | Amy]]. During the [[The Open Door]] era, the logo went through a bit of a makeover and is now skinnier. The 'Evanescent' font has the original logo (character '§'), and 'The Last Font I'm Wasting On You' has the newer, slimmer logo (character '©')

==The Fallen Title Logo==

Appears on the front cover of [[Fallen]]. This logo is very difficult to produce using the Evanescent (By Aeryan) font, so I have included it in the tweaked version. To get the logo, simply type out the character '±' (note: you must have the tweaked version installed to get this character)

==My Immortal Logo==
'''[http://h1.ripway.com/SexualFirefly/myimmortal.psd My Immortal Logo]''' ''thanks to Gyakusetsu for drawing this file.''

This design appeared during the era when [[My Immortal]] was released as a single. You can find it on all [[My Immortal Single|International Single Releases]] (excluding those from the UK) and even appeared on a clothing item sold in the official merchandise store (now long sold out).

[[Image:myimmortaldesign.png|250px|The My Immortal Symbol]]

==Anywhere But Home Logo==
The logo found on the cover of all international releases of [[Anywhere But Home]].

[[Image:abhlogo.png|250px|The Anywhere But Home logo]]

==The Open Door Logo==

Appears on the front of [[The Open Door]] and on much of the merchandise sold surrounding this era. The logo is included in 'The Last Font I'm Wasting On You' and you can get it by typing out the character '®'. Contrary to popular belief, the logo cannot be derived by typing out "the open door" using the Anywhere But Home font. The two are indeed somewhat simmilar, though not at all a suitable match.

===The Thorny Design===
'''[http://h1.ripway.com/SexualFirefly/thornlogo.psd The Thorny Design] [http://h1.ripway.com/SexualFirefly/ethornlogo.psd The Thorny Design with the 'e']''' ''Thanks to [http://craigbrasco.com/ orgo] for drawing these files.''

The thorny logo like what surrounds the album title for [[The Open Door]] and surrounds the 'e' logo in the tray of the album. Also appears on the [[Call Me When You're Sober Single]].

[[Image:thornydesign.png|214px|The thorn logo from the ToD Era.]][[Image:ethornydesign.png|200px|The thorn logo from the tray of The Open Door.]]

==EvClub Logo==
The [[EvClub]] logo as can be seen on [http://www.evfanclub.com EvFanClub.com]. The fonts used are the standard ''Evanescent'' font and a variation on ''Kozuka Gothic Standard (L)'' (which is bundled with Adobe® Creative Suite 2 and ''not'' freeware) that has been skewed so that the characters are approximately 80% normal width.

==EvThreads Logos==
The [[EvThreads]] logos as can be seen on [http://www.evthreads.com EvThreads.com].

===Version 1===
The first logo was simmilar to that of the EvClub logo, utilizing the same typefaces. The fonts used are the standard ''Evanescent'' font and a variation on ''Kozuka Gothic Standard (L)'' (which is bundled with Adobe® Creative Suite 2 and ''not'' freeware) that has been skewed so that the characters are approximately 80% normal width. In addition, a character from the dngbat font "Curly Art Nouveau" ([http://www.houseoflime.com/ House of Lime]) was used to create the ecoration.

[[Image:Evthreads1.png|214px|The EvThreads V1.0 Logo]]

==CD Art Design==
[http://www40.websamba.com/gerardarmando/Cdart/Cdart.pdf Cd Art] It's the art which appears on The Open Door Disc. Thanks to [http://www.evthreads.com/member.php?u=1870 Gerard Armando]

==The Fallen Title Logo==

Appears on the front cover of [[Fallen]]. This logo is very difficult to produce using the Evanescent (By Aeryan) font, so I have included it in the tweaked version. To get the logo, simply type out the character '±' (note: you must have the tweaked version installed to get this character)

==My Immortal Logo==

==Anywhere But Home Logo==
The logo found on the cover of all international releases of [[Anywhere But Home]].

[[Image:abhlogo.png|250px|The Anywhere But Home logo]]

==The Open Door Logo==

===Version 1===
In addition, a character from the dngbat font Curly Art Nouveau ([http://www.houseoflime.com/ House of Lime]) was used to create the ecoration.

'''''This is a comprehensive list of fonts that Evanescence has used throughout their career. Some were original fonts that aren't publicly available, however there are always freeware equivalents or close facsimiles.'''''

=Fonts=
==Evanescence EP==
[http://evanescencereference.info/EvFonts/PackardAntique.ttf Packard Antique Regular] (by Typographer Mediengestaltung)

-This isn't the actual font, but it is the closest that can be easily found online.

==Origin==

==Fallen==

==Anywhere But Home==
[http://evanescencereference.info/EvFonts/AnywhereButHome.ttf Anywhere] (by Gyakusetsu)

-Used as the logo and tracklisting. (This font looks fine when small, but is rather jagged when enlarged; not recommended for use as a normal typeface.)

[http://evanescencereference.info/EvFonts/abh1.ttf Anywhere But Home] (by Brittany)

-Same as previous font, a bit more correct when it comes to the alphabet (looks better when enlarged and when used as a normal typeface).

==The Open Door Era==

=Logos throughout the years=
==Old Logo==

==The Evanescence Logo==

-The logo we all know and love. Used on 'Fallen,' on all the promotional singles, and on promotional merchandise. Can be easily derived from the 'Evanescent' font by typing the characters "EVan+escéncç" (I know its weird, but you've gotta trust me that it works).

==The Newer Logo==

''Written by: [[A. Lee]], [[T. Balsamo]]''

[[Terry Balsamo]]'s favourite song on [[The Open Door]]. The piano is the principal instrument for this song. It displays the maturity of the band’s new sound. The choir once again appears, causing the end of the song to be really epic.

Amy's description of the song: <ref>C. Bottomley. [http://www.vh1.com/news/articles/1540914/story.jhtml Evanescence: Amy Lee Explains the New Songs] - VH1.com</ref>

"A couple of years ago, I felt so alone that I was dreading going on tour. We had just arrived in Lisbon and I was in my room feeling jet-lagged, weird and tired. I had just been home where I could see the stars at night. But when I looked out the hotel window in Lisbon, I couldn't see anything because we were in this big city. That was the last straw. I felt so depressed, I just started singing this song."

During the bridge, the background choir sings "Alma surdo, loucura, onde ste seu alma? loucura, todo zosinho" (Portuguese) which means "Deaf soul, madness, where is its soul? Madness, all alone" in English.
I can't see your star

I can't see your star

I can't see your star

How can the darkness feel so wrong?

And I'm alone now

Me and all I stood for

We're wandering now

All in parts in pieces, swim lonely

Find your own way out

So far away

It's growing colder without your love

Can't break the silence

== General Information ==

''Written by: [[A. Lee]], [[B. Moody]], and [[D. Hodges]]''

Developed during the 2001-2002 demos and later released as track #9 on [[Fallen]]. The most personal song ever written and released by Amy Lee and this is the only [[Fallen]] song that has never been performed in a concert to date though the band considered doing it back in 2003 and a theme from the song was used in the beginning of a few live shows in 2003 as the intro to the song [[Going Under]]. There is also a video of Amy singing it in her parents' house in 2004 which is the only recorded live version of the song.

The song is about one of Amy’s sisters, who passed away in 1987 at the age of three from an unidentified illness. (This sister's name is known, but is not provided out of respect. See [[Talk: Hello#The Name of The Sister|Talk: Hello]] for reason.)

This sister was later the inspiration for a second song, [[Like You]].

=== Subliminal Message ===
When played backwards, the part of the song "...I'm not sleeping, Hello, I'm still here..." very distinctly says "He hurts me all over. Hear me, it was not me." This is not intentional by the band, however it is the only phrase that can be heard when Evanescence's music is played in reverse. (To hear for yourself, [http://evanescencehurtsme.ytmnd.com/ click here to view a You're The Man Now Dog page] with the phenomenon)

The guitar part by Balsamo makes this song remarkable. The piano playing and the vocals by Amy remind us of [[Missing]]. When the 7-string guitar takes over, we are a bit reminded of Korn (of which Evanescence have covered Thoughtless on [[Anywhere But Home]]). The intro features a small clip from [[Tuna Afternoon]].

Amy's description of the song: <ref>C. Bottomley. [http://www.vh1.com/news/articles/1540914/story.jhtml Evanescence: Amy Lee Explains the New Songs] - VH1.com</ref>

"The song is about some of my experiences as a teenager with close-mindedness. I thought the people around me seemed lost in a world that I really didn't belong in. It's kind of spiritual. We originally called the track 'Tuna Afternoon', because I made tuna noodle casserole that day. We still call the song 'Tuna Afternoon'. Sometimes it's hard to get past that working title."

The song was intended to be the Third single from [[The Open Door]], however after listening to requests by the band and fan reactions to the decision, the label chose [[Sweet Sacrifice]] in its place. <ref>Lee, Amy. ''From Metal Edge Magazine''

The hard rocking “All That I’m Living For” focuses on the band itself. Its genesis came from a realization Lee had one day that her band was her life. “I don’t do anything else,” she says. “I’m writing for the band, touring for the band, doing an interview about the band, or thinking about the next thing I want to write. It’s my life, and I love it, but it’s a love/hate relationship.”

''From VH1.com'' <ref>C. Bottomley. [http://www.vh1.com/news/articles/1540914/story.jhtml Evanescence: Amy Lee Explains the New Songs] - VH1.com</ref>

Amy's description of the song: "I love that song. It feels really different for us. The lyrics are about my writing process-how I put the song together, why I do it, and how I'm trying to fix all the things that are wrong with me through music. The first line says, "Save me from the night again/ I can feel the separation from the living."<ref>Yes, this line is different in the actual song. It could be the original version of the lyrics or Amy just messed it up.</ref> It's always night time when I start writing, just as the dusk is setting."

Recently an acoustic version was released on the Lithium single.
== Lyrics ==
All that I'm living for

All that I'm dying for

All that I can't ignore alone at night

I can feel the night beginning

Separate me from the living

Understanding me

After all I've seen

Piecing every thought together

Find the words to make me better

If I only knew how to pull myself apart

All that I'm living for

All that I'm dying for

All that I can't ignore alone at night

All that I'm wanted for

Although I wanted more

Lock the last open door

My ghosts are gaining on me

I believe that dreams are sacred

Take my darkest fears and play them

Like a lullaby

Like a reason why

Like a play of my obsessions

Make me understand the lesson

So I'll find myself

So I won't be lost again

All that I'm living for

All that I'm dying for

All that I can't ignore alone at night

All that I'm wanted for

Although I wanted more

Lock the last open door

My ghosts are gaining on me

Guess I thought I'd have to change the world

To make you see me

To be the one

I could have run forever

But how far would I have come

Without mourning your love?

All that I'm living for

All that I'm dying for

All that I can't ignore alone at night

All that I'm wanted for

Although I wanted more

Lock the last open door

My ghosts are gaining on me

Should it hurt to love you?

Should I feel like I do?

Should I lock the last open door

My ghosts are gaining on me

Written and directed by [[Amy Lee]] and performed by her high school choir, the Pulaski Academy mixed choir, for Amy's graduation. It should be noted that Amy Lee was the choir president. The part of the song with the word 'listen' repeated multiply was supposed to represent the rain falling.

Was originally supposed to be an [[Origin]] track, but never made the final cut. Was supposed to devide the [[Eternal]] song into Three pieces - [[Eternal]], Listen To The Rain, and Demise (consisted of the ending of [[Eternal]]). Would have made an almost Eleven minute song spanning three tracks.
Acoustic Tracks
2007-03-04T15:06:01Z

*[[All That I'm Living For]] ([[John LeCompt]] - Guitar, [[David Eggar]] - Cello, [[Amy Lee]] - Vocals)
*[[Bring Me To Life]] ([[Ben Moody]] - Guitar, Amy Lee - Vocals)
*[[Call Me When You're Sober]] (John LeCompt - Guitar, David Eggar - Cello, Amy Lee - Vocals)
*[[Even In Death]] (Ben Moody - Guitar, Amy Lee - Vocals)
*[[Everybody's Fool]] ([[Terry Balsamo]] - Guitar, Amy Lee - Vocals)<ref>One full recorded version is known to exist—a bootleg from an Evanescence/Seether acoustic show in Washington D.C right before the show in Maryland on 7/24/04. There is also a short sample of it that can be heard on the Anywhere But Home extra footage of Terry and Amy jamming the song.</ref>
*[[Going Under]] (Ben Moody - Guitar, Amy Lee - Vocals)
*[[Good Enough]] (John - Guitar, David Eggar - Cello, Amy Lee - Vocals)
*[[Haunted]] (Ben Moody - Guitar, Amy Lee - Vocals)
*[[Imaginary]] (Ben Moody - Guitar, Amy Lee - Vocals)
*[[Lithium]] (John - Guitar, David Eggar - Cello, Amy Lee - Vocals)
*[[My Immortal]] (Ben Moody - Guitar, Amy Lee - Vocals)
*[[Understanding]] (Ben Moody<ref>It is presumed that Ben Moody played guitars on this track, but there are definitely two guitars heard - it was either layered over or there's somebody else playing with him.</ref> - Guitar, Amy Lee - Vocals)
*[[Weight of the World]]<ref>No recording of this exists, as far as we're aware - it was played at the Kerrang album launch promo appearance in London (06 SEP 2006).</ref> (John LeCompt - Guitar, David Eggar - Cello, Amy Lee - Vocals)
*[[Whisper]] (Ben Moody - Guitar, Amy Lee - Vocals)

"A couple of years ago, I felt so alone that I was dreading going on tour. We had just arrived in Lisbon and I was in my room feeling jet-lagged, weird and tired. I had just been home where I could see the stars at night. But when I looked out the hotel window in Lisbon, I couldn't see anything because we were in this big city. That was the last straw. I felt so depressed, I just started singing this song."

'''Origin''' was released on November 4th, 2000, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Many different versions of Origin exist, but there’s only one true tracklisting. Only 2500 copies of the original were made. Origin sold out in February 2003. Real and fake copies are bought on EBay for upwards of $300. Amy Lee does not consider this an album, but rather a collection of demos that they "dressed up" to send to different major labels.

The album contains early versions of songs found on Fallen: [[My Immortal]], [[Imaginary]], [[Whisper]].

The original release contained a hidden track, which is located before the first track. In order to hear it, you have to rewind (while hearing what you are rewinding) the first song and reach -0:24 approximately (yes, minus). It is an outtake of the end of the bridge of [[Anywhere]], featuring [[Amy Lynn Lee|Amy Lee]] and [[David Hodges]] singing and apparently [[Ben Moody]] says a few words at the end of it, just before [[Origin (song)|Origin]] begins.

The end of the album was originally supposed to include the song [[Listen To The Rain]] between the songs [[Eternal]] and [[Demise]]. Pre-releases of the album included this song, but the finished product did not include the song ([http://evanescencereference.info/music/OriginCD_files/Evanescence%20-%20Origin%20-%20Pre-Release%20Alternate%20Ending.mp3 Listen to pre-release ending]).
[[Image:originfake.jpg|thumb|right|150px|Fake Release]]
In 2003, a "re-release" of Origin came out supposedly under the label 'Epic' although was infact a fake. It contained most of the tracks from the real Origin, however with some tracks, different versions were used. In the case of [[Whisper]] and [[My Immortal]], the [[Fallen]] versions were used.

The audio portion of the CD was very poorly produced, and in most cases, the songs were either corrupted or of low quality (as if downloaded as an MP3 and then burned on the CD). This bootleg has very elaborate and professional looking artwork, with a silkscreened, factory pressed CD and a fold out booklet with a small biography (which mostly rambles on about the 'Christian band' controversy).

The CD contained 'Bonus Tracks' such as [[Missing]] (which is very corrupted and of extremely low quality), the Nirvana cover 'Heart-Shaped Box', and a [rather bad] trance remix of [[Bring Me To Life]].

The CD itself has a red silkscreen with black bird design with the word "sorry" on it. The jewel case has a gothic red design with a speckled face on the back along with the tracklisting. The inside tray artwork has an image of the band (the one from the booklet in [[Fallen]]). The cover has a skull design that is simmilar to the actual album released by the band. The most noticeable difference is the [[Fonts and Logos#The Evanescence Logo|Evanescence Logo]], which is pointy and unlike any design officially released by the band.

On the back artwork the fine print/credits are actually copied from the back of [[Fallen]].

Written by [[Amy Lee]] and performed by her high school choir, the Pulaski Academy mixed choir, when she was a senior. It should be noted that Amy Lee was the choir president.

So far away

It's growing colder without your love

Why can't you feel me calling your name?

Described as a song about Amy's "plea for perspective from the expectation of young fans" by [http://evanescence.com Evanescence.com].

The guitars take off whilst Amy’s voice gets lost between sampled mumbling and a guitar riff by Balsamo. The vocals get more and more synthetic whilst the guitars get mixed with an electronic supplement. A track that is very easily distinguished from Evanescence’s repertoire.

"I live for the rock songs. With the line-up changing, I think a lot of people thought it would be more of the My Immortal stuff. But My Immortal was Ben [Moody]'s song! I was always trying to pull us in a crazier direction. Songs like Weight of the World and Sweet Sacrifice and All That I'm Living For are so amazing to me because of the adrenaline. Especially when we play them live."

Feels like the weight of the world

Like God in Heaven gave me a turn

Don't cling to me, I swear I can't fix you

Still in the dark, can you fix me?

Freefall, freefall, all through life

If you love me, then let go of me

I won't be held down by who I used to be

She's nothing to me

Feels like the weight of the world

Like all my screaming has gone unheard

And oh I know you don't believe in me

Safe in the dark, how can you see?

Freefall, freefall, all through life

If you love me, then let go of me

I won't be held down by who I used to be

The guitar part by Balsamo makes this song remarkable. The piano playing and the vocals by Amy remind us of [[Missing]]. When the 7-string guitar takes over, we are a bit reminded of Korn (of which Evanescence have covered Thoughtless on [[Anywhere But Home]]). The intro features a small clip from [[Tuna Afternoon]].

In an interview, Amy said the song was written as a joke during [[The Open Door]] sessions. In an interview with Spin Magazine she hinted that the song was dedicated to [[Ben Moody]]. <ref>http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/5844/file0120kc9ax1.jpg</ref> It features Amy's solo, un-layered, vocals with a very simple piano track. Some very experimental vocal work is heard throughout.

The song was released as a bonus track on iTunes when the album was released (the album had to be pre-ordered from the website) and soon spread around the Internet. The song was also released as a B-side on the [[Lithium Single]].
Described as a song about "a post-relationship catharsis that head-dives from an otherworldly intro into a hard-driving thrash of hard rock guitars and soaring rock vocals" by [http://evanescence.com Evanescence.com].

The listener is captivated by Amy’s universe as the very first notes start off. Amy repeatedly takes a deep breath in order to absorb us for an hour. Terry’s guitar part flirts with high notes, as Amy’s voice follows the same tonality path.

Amy's description of the song: <ref>C. Bottomley. [http://www.vh1.com/news/articles/1540914/story.jhtml Evanescence: Amy Lee Explains the New Songs] - VH1.com</ref>

"It's the one song on The Open Door that's about the same abusive relationship which was the source of all the songs on Fallen. It was appropriate to put this song at the beginning, but it comes from a much stronger standpoint than Fallen. It's not saying, 'I'm trapped in fear and somebody save me.' It's saying, 'Fear is only in our minds ... I'm not afraid anymore.'"

Officially chosen as the third single from [[The Open Door]] after requests from the band and fan reactions prompted the label to rethink ideas of releasing [[All That I'm Living For]] as the single.<ref>[http://www.evthreads.com/showpost.php?p=136272&postcount=204 Post by Amy Lee on EvThreads.com]</ref>

The first song [[Evanescence]] did for [[The Open Door]].

In issue 88 of "Rock Sound," Amy revealed exactly what the song is really about. She explained how the song is based on "scary experiences." She explained how many nights she was forced to stay in hotels, because a stalker was erm...stalking her. She took part of the title from [[EvBoard]], as her username is "[[Snow White]]." The word "Queen" was presumably added because of how a stalker would over idolize a victim.

Amy's description of the song: <ref>C. Bottomley. [http://www.vh1.com/news/articles/1540914/story.jhtml Evanescence: Amy Lee Explains the New Songs] - VH1.com</ref>

"I went through some weird experiences with stalkers. It's weird how it works. My lyrics are so intimate that people feel like they really know me, and I don't know them at all. My privacy had been completely invaded and there were a couple of nights where I couldn't stay at my house. So I wrote a song about it through the eyes of the stalker, and with my perspective, too."

...this song sounds like the narrator is almost about to be raped.

The setting of the song is so off-kilter, it basically arrests you from the first listen. It's violating. It's like the narrator is talking to the attacker, and the attacker is attempting to justify their actions in the chorus ("soon I know you'll see you're just like me."), either to the narrator or to themselves as they attempt to commit the crime.

I'm not trying to say that this song is based on a rape attempt, but the way the subject is discussed, it's very carnal ("all your hands on me/I can't scream", "undress in the dark and hide from you", "now I have you", "there's nowhere to run so let's just get it over") and there are a lot of references to the human body, in addition to a chord progression that's flat-out VIOLATING. You can't listen to this song without feeling at least a little disturbed.

== Lyrics ==
Stoplight lock the door

Don't look back

Undress in the dark

And hide from you

All of you

You'll never know the way your words have haunted me

I can't believe you'd ask these things of me

You don't know me (now and ever)

You belong to me

My snow white queen

There's nowhere to run

So let's just get it over

Soon I know you'll see

You're just like me

Don't scream anymore my love

'cause all I want is you

Wake up in a dream

Frozen fear

All your hands on me

I can't scream...

I can't scream

I can't escape the twisted way you think of me

I feel you in my dreams and I don't sleep

I don't sleep (for ever and ever)

You belong to me

My snow white queen

There's nowhere to run

So let's just get it over

Soon I know you'll see

You're just like me

Don't scream anymore my love

'cause all I want is you

I can't save your life

Though nothing I bleed for is more tormenting

I'm losing my mind

and you just stand there and stare as my world divides

You belong to me

My snow white queen

There's nowhere to run

So let's just get it over

The song was originally written for the movie [[The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe]], but was scrapped by the director. "I thought it would be awesome for the opening scene, but they wanted something original," says Lee of the Mozart cover. <ref name=metaledge>[http://lnx.evanescencewebsite.com/PressArchive/news.php?id=130 The Essence of Evanescence], page 10. - Metal Edge, September 8, 2006. Retrieved on November, 2006.</ref>

It features elements of W.A. Mozart's "Lacrimosa" from his 'Requiem in D Minor.' More info on that composition can be found [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lacrimosa_%28Requiem%29 here].

A 22-cord orchestra led by Dave Campbell (with whom Evanescence had already worked for their performance at the Billboard Awards 2004) starts off the song in order to introduce a choir, which serves as back up for Amy’s vocals.

"Dave Campbell is an enormous inspiration source for me," says Amy. "He’s so talented. The way he arranges orchestral parts is remarkable. It's the element of our music that makes me cry!"

Terry's guitar solo in the middle of the song adds to its sheer epic sound before the choir closes with a stunning decrescendo.

Amy's description of the song: <ref>C. Bottomley. [http://www.vh1.com/news/articles/1540914/story.jhtml Evanescence: Amy Lee Explains the New Songs] - VH1.com</ref>

"I saw Amadeus when I was nine years old and fell in love with Mozart. The part of Mozart's Requiem called "Lacrimosa" is my favorite piece of music ever. I always wished we could cover it, but with programming and guitars and make it cool. It's our moment to try all the things I wanted to and couldn't, so I started messing with it in Protools. Terry wrote some riffs and turned it into this awesome metal epic."

Recorded in a chapel near Seattle.

A 30 second clip of this song along with The Open Door trailer was featured on music.aol.com's page for Evanescence. It can now be seen on YouTube [http://youtube.com/watch?v=Q4onankqvZA here].
Out on your own

Cold and alone again

Can this be what you really wanted, baby?

Nothing can hold you back now

Now that you're gone

I feel like myself again

Grieving the things I can't repair and willing ...

To let you blame it on me

And set your guilt free

I don't want to hold you back now love

Described as "a string-and-choir-infused closer distinguished as the band's first truly (almost) contented song" by [http://evanescence.com Evanescence.com], the song is reminiscent of the piano ballad [[Give Unto Me]] in it's purest form.

It is decidedly upbeat and showcases an Amy Lee that is letting someone in and who sounds happily in love. She thinks it is the bravest track on the album. “It’s totally scary to be so vulnerable when I know however many metalheads are going to diss it because it’s not the exact same thing [as the other songs],” Lee says. “And it doesn’t end with, ‘And then he died’ or ‘I pushed him off a cliff’ or ‘He’s a ghost really.’ It’s so cool to me and weird to me. I’ve never written a happy song, ever."

Amy's description of the song: <ref>C. Bottomley. [http://www.vh1.com/news/articles/1540914/story.jhtml Evanescence: Amy Lee Explains the New Songs] - VH1.com</ref>

"I had gone through a lot of difficult things during the writing of the whole album, and by the end of it, I had stepped away from those bad situations. That's really hard. You have to be really brave and strong about it. After doing that, I felt so amazing. For the first time I felt like I could write a song based on how good I felt. I have never done that before ever."

The song was inspired by Josh, boyfriend and now Amy`s fiance (also the inspiration behind Bring Me to Life).

The intro to this song came from a piece that Amy had written for Narnia, but was scrapped. We may never hear what originally followed this beautiful and elaborate string/piano arrangement.
== Lyrics ==
Under your spell again

I can't say no to you

Crave my heart and it's bleeding in your hand

I can't say no to you

Shouldn't let you torture me so sweetly

Now I can't let go of this dream

I can't breathe but I feel

Good enough

I feel good enough for you

Drink up sweet decadence

I can't say no to you

And I've completely lost myself and I don't mind

I can't say no to you

Shouldn't let you conquer me completely

Now I can't let go of this dream

Can't believe that I feel

Good enough

I feel good enough

It's been such a long time coming, but I feel good

And I'm still waiting for the rain to fall

Pour real life down on me

'Cause I can't hold on to anything this

Good enough

Am I good enough

For you to love me too?

So take care what you ask of me

The song has been described as a "a bluesy arrangement of strings and organ" that "sounds more Fiona Apple than new metal".<ref name=smnnews>[http://www.smnnews.com/index.php?subaction=showcomments&id=1150497965&archive=&start_from=&ucat=& Evanescence - Set to Return - Amy Lee Had a Rough Few Years] - SMNnews.com</ref>

The song is about the relationship of Amy Lee and [[Shaun Morgan]] had. Around when the single was out on the radio, Shaun Morgan announced that he is going into rehab. The songs talks about Shaun preferring his addiction object over Amy and her deciding to get out of the relationship when realizing it.
Amy's description of the song: <ref>C. Bottomley. [http://www.vh1.com/news/articles/1540914/story.jhtml Evanescence: Amy Lee Explains the New Songs] - VH1.com</ref>

"It's very obvious who it's about. I know that people would read between the lines and think it's about my ex-boyfriend Shaun Morgan [of Seether], but I wanted to be completely clear. I needed so bad to say exactly what I was feeling for so long. Music is therapy for me. It's my outlet for every negative thing I've ever been through. It lets me turn something bad into something beautiful."

Don't cry to me

If you loved me

You would be here with me

You want me

Come find me

Make up your mind

Should I let you fall

Lose it all

So maybe you can remember yourself

Can't keep believing

We're only deceiving ourselves

And I'm sick of the lie

And you're too late

Don't cry to me

If you loved me

You would be here with me

You want me

Come find me

Make up your mind

Couldn't take the blame

Sick with shame

Must be exhausting to lose your own game

Selfishly hated

No wonder you're jaded

You can't play the victim this time

And you're too late

Don't cry to me

If you loved me

You would be here with me

You want me

Come find me

Make up your mind

You never call me when you're sober

You only want it 'cause it's over

It's over

How could I have burned paradise

How could I - you were never mine!

So don't cry to me

If you loved me

You would be here with me

Don't lie to me

Just get your things

I've made up your mind

Written by: ''[[A. Lee]]''

Described as a track "which embraces feeling over numbness," Amy has said her soured relationship with ex-boyfriend [[Shaun Morgan]] of Seether was the inspiration for this track.

Before the release of [[The Open Door]], some fans mistakenly believed Lithium to be a cover of the [[Nirvana]] song which bears the same name. However, the two songs are unrelated.

Upon release, fan reaction to Lithium has been generally positive. It has been likened to [[My Immortal]] as well as tracks from [[Origin]]. Some fans view Lithium as [[The Open Door]]'s first real highlight.

At [[The Open Door]] premiere in Milan, Amy Lee said that Lithium would be that album's second single.

''From VH1.com''

Amy's description of the song: "I wrote the chorus on the guitar when I was about 16. I always thought it was a cool chorus, but I never used it for anything. I started playing it on the piano and the verses came out. I have a pile of pieces stowed away in my mind that maybe I'll use some day. In a way it's an old song, but not really. It grew up." <ref>C. Bottomley. [http://www.vh1.com/news/articles/1540914/story.jhtml Evanescence: Amy Lee Explains the New Songs] - VH1.com</ref>

''From MTV Italy''

Amy: "It's not literal, it's not literal about the drug for me, I've never taken lithium before. It's sort of a metaphor about numbness and happiness and sort of like, it's me looking at happiness in a negative way because I've always been, you know, kind of afraid to be happy. Like with the band and the art and everything else, it's always like I'm never letting myself break through into the happiness it seems like, because it's not cool or something. And describing happiness is lithium, it's like saying 'that's numbness, I won't be able to be an artist anymore if I'm happy,' which is hilarious because that's just not true, I'm happy. So it's like this fight within the song of like 'do I do this and get out of here and get happy or do i wallow in it like I always do?' and it's cool because at the end of the song I say 'I'm going to let it go,' like I am going to be happy. <ref name=youtube>[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZ1YhUpxwsY Evanescence - Amy Lee Interview] - YouTube</ref>

== Lyrics ==
Lithium, don't want to lock me up inside

Lithium, don't want to forget how it feels without

Lithium, I want to stay in love with my sorrow

Oh, but God, I want to let it go

Come to bed, don't make me sleep alone

Couldn't hide the emptiness you let it show

Never wanted it to be so cold

Just didn't drink enough to say you love me

I can't hold on to me

Wonder what's wrong with me

Lithium, don't want to lock me up inside

Lithium, don't want to forget how it feels without

Lithium, I want to stay in love with my sorrow

Oh, don't want to let it lay me down this time

Drown my will to fly

Here in the darkness I know myself

Can't break free until I let it go

Let me go

Darling, I forgive you after all

Anything is better than to be alone

And in the end I guess I had to fall

Always find my place among the ashes

I can't hold on to me

Wonder what's wrong with me

Directed by [[Paul Fedor]], the video features two Amys, one in the water (assuming the "sadness" role) in a black dress singing to her alter ego in white (assuming the "happiness" role) who, through a process of internal torment, conquers her sadness. The video also features prominent shots of the rest of the band, including new member [[Tim McCord]], all dressed in black.

Shot in L.A. in late October of 2006, and released some time late in November. The video leaked on Thursday, November 23 (Thanksgiving). Due to unknown issues—apparently caused by the label—the video was released internationally late in November, however the US had to wait almost 2 weeks for stations to start playing it.

The video bears a striking similarity to AFI's ''<nowiki>'</nowiki>[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_Like_Winter Love Like Winter]<nowiki>'</nowiki>'', released early in november, because of their snowy forest sets and underwater moments. AFI's video was directed by Marc Webb and features lead singer, Davey Havok, falling through ice to a woman who is "The beautiful embodiment of hopelessness".

The first line says, "Save me from the night again/ I can feel the separation from the living." It's always night time when I start writing, just as the dusk is setting."

Recently an acoustic version was released on the Lithium single.
== Lyrics ==
All that I'm living for

All that I'm dying for

All that I can't ignore alone at night

I can feel the night beginning

Separate me from the living

Understanding me

After all I've seen

Piecing every thought together

Find the words to make me better

If I only knew how to pull myself apart

All that I'm living for

All that I'm dying for

All that I can't ignore alone at night

All that I'm wanted for

Although I wanted more

Lock the last open door

My ghosts are gaining on me

I believe that dreams are sacred

Take my darkest fears and play them

Like a lullaby

Like a reason why

Like a play of my obsessions

Make me understand the lesson

So I'll find myself

So I won't be lost again

All that I'm living for

All that I'm dying for

All that I can't ignore alone at night

All that I'm wanted for

Although I wanted more

Lock the last open door

My ghosts are gaining on me

Guess I thought I'd have to change the world

To make you see me

To be the one

I could have run forever

But how far would I have come

Without mourning your love?

All that I'm living for

All that I'm dying for

All that I can't ignore alone at night

All that I'm wanted for

Although I wanted more

Lock the last open door

My ghosts are gaining on me

Should it hurt to love you?

Should I feel like I do?

Should I lock the last open door

My ghosts are gaining on me

The second song [[Evanescence]] did for [[The Open Door]] after [[Snow White Queen]] and one of [[Terry Balsamo]]'s favourites to work on.

''From Metal Edge magazine''

The most personal song on The Open Door. “It is about something that’s hard to even talk about but feels good to write about,” explains Lee. “It’s about my sister who passed away when I was a little girl. I was six years old and she was three. It’s affected my life and definitely affected my music writing, and it’s made me who I am. It’s one of those things that happens early enough in life that it forms you. I think in a lot of ways I made it a thing that I can use in a positive way in my life. I’ve learned from it and grown up, and I’ve always felt older. Twenty-four sounds young to me, it’s weird.”

Having lost a sister at such a young age put things in perspective for Lee, who says she cherishes making music and wants to love. “What else is there?” she ponders. “I don’t care about the stupid things as much as I would if I hadn’t been through that. The song is about me from the perspective of a child back then, and I go back to that place a lot of times. I went there and wrote the song that way. It’s not the kind of thing that I would normally say on a megaphone in front of millions of people.”

“It’s something that changes you,” the singer stresses. “I love her, and I will always love her. Her spirit is always with us. I feel like I’ll always want to have a little place for her on every record. On the last record, it was ‘[[Hello]],’ and I wrote that from the perspective of a child. I was talking about it in a little bit of a different way, but it’s the same inspiration."

''From VH1.com''

Amy's description of the song: "'Like You' is maybe the most intimate song on the record. It was about losing my little sister when I was a child. On the last record, I wrote '[[Hello]]' about her. 'Like You' is her place on this record." <ref>C. Bottomley. == Lyrics ==
Stay low

Soft, dark, and dreamless

Far beneath my nightmares and loneliness

I hate me

For breathing without you

I don't want to feel anymore for you

Grieving for you

I'm not grieving for you

Nothing real love can't undo

And though I may have lost my way

All paths lead straight to you

I long to be like you

Lie cold in the ground like you

Halo

Blinding wall between us

Melt away and leave us alone again

Humming, haunted somewhere out there

I believe our love can see us through in death

I long to be like you

Lie cold in the ground like you

There's room inside for two

And I'm not grieving for you

I'm coming for you

You're not alone

No matter what they told you

You're not alone

I'll be right beside you forevermore

I long to be like you sis

Lie cold in the ground like you did

There's room inside for two

And I'm not grieving for you

And as we lay in silent bliss

I know you remember me

I long to be like you

Lie cold in the ground like you

There's room inside for two

And I'm not grieving for you

I'm coming for you

== Lyrics ==

Don't cry to me

If you loved me

You would be here with me

You want me

Come find me

Make up your mind

Should I let you fall

Lose it all

So maybe you can remember yourself

Can't keep believing

We're only deceiving ourselves

And I'm sick of the lie

And you're too late

Don't cry to me

If you loved me

You would be here with me

You want me

Come find me

Make up your mind

Couldn't take the blame

Sick with shame

Must be exhausting to lose your own game

Selfishly hated

No wonder you're jaded

You can't play the victim this time

And you're too late

Don't cry to me

If you loved me

You would be here with me

You want me

Come find me

Make up your mind

You never call me when you're sober

You only want it 'cause it's over

It's over

How could I have burned paradise

How could I - you were never mine!

So don't cry to me

If you loved me

You would be here with me

Don't lie to me

Just get your things

I've made up your mind

The hard rocking “All That I’m Living For” focuses on the band itself. Its genesis came from a realization Lee had one day that her band was her life. “I don’t do anything else,” she says. “I’m writing for the band, touring for the band, doing an interview about the band, or thinking about the next thing I want to write. It’s my life, and I love it, but it’s a love/hate relationship.”

The lyrics are about my writing process-how I put the song together, why I do it, and how I'm trying to fix all the things that are wrong with me through music. == Lyrics ==
All that I'm living for

All that I'm dying for

All that I can't ignore alone at night

I can feel the night beginning

Separate me from the living

Understanding me

After all I've seen

Piecing every thought together

Find the words to make me better

If I only knew how to pull myself apart

All that I'm living for

All that I'm dying for

All that I can't ignore alone at night

All that I'm wanted for

Although I wanted more

Lock the last open door

My ghosts are gaining on me

I believe that dreams are sacred

Take my darkest fears and play them

Like a lullaby

Like a reason why

Like a play of my obsessions

Make me understand the lesson

So I'll find myself

So I won't be lost again

All that I'm living for

All that I'm dying for

All that I can't ignore alone at night

All that I'm wanted for

Although I wanted more

Lock the last open door

My ghosts are gaining on me

Guess I thought I'd have to change the world

To make you see me

To be the one

I could have run forever

But how far would I have come

Without mourning your love?

All that I'm living for

All that I'm dying for

All that I can't ignore alone at night

All that I'm wanted for

Although I wanted more

Lock the last open door

My ghosts are gaining on me

Should it hurt to love you?

Should I feel like I do?

Should I lock the last open door

My ghosts are gaining on me

Amy Lee became inspired to write the song after an incident that occurred while she was sitting in a restaurant. "I was inspired to write it when someone said something to me — I didn’t know him, and I thought he might be clairvoyant," says Lee from a tour stop in Tulsa. "I was in a relationship and I was completely unhappy. But I was hiding it. I was being completely abused and I was trying to cover it up; I wouldn’t even admit it to myself. So then I had spoken maybe 10 or 15 words to this guy, who was a friend of a friend. We were waiting for everyone else to show up, and we went into a restaurant and got a table. And he looked at me and said, ‘Are you happy?’ And I felt my heart leap, and I was like, he totally knows what I’m thinking. And I lied, I said I was fine. Anyway, he’s not really clairvoyant. But he ''is'' a sociology major." <ref name=phoenix>Carioli, Carly. [http://72.166.46.24//boston/events/state/documents/03148215.asp Ediotr's Pick | The awakening] - The Boston Phoenix</ref>

Amy Lee’s quote about the song from MTV.com:

"Basically, we go through life every day, kind of doing the same thing, going through the motions, and nothing phases us for the most part, then one day something happens that wakes you up and makes you realize that there's more to life than just feeling nothing, feeling numb. It's as if you've never felt before and just realized there's this whole world of emotion or meaning that you've never seen before. It's just like, 'Wow, I've been asleep all this time.'"

In an interview titled "Amy Lee: Back In Black", she said she wrote "Bring Me To Life" about her long time friend (now boyfriend, apparently) Josh. <ref name=blender>Eells, Josh. [http://www.blender.com/guide/articles.aspx?id=2076 Amy Lee:Back in Black] - Blender</ref>

It was the second single off of the [[Daredevil Soundtrack]] (Fuel’s Wont Back Down was first) and the first single off of [[Fallen]]. Bring Me to Life became the #1 pop song in the country the week of June 13th, 2003, only to be replaced a week later by Kelly Clarkson’s Miss Independent. The song features [[Paul McCoy]], the lead singer of 12 Stones.

The song was originally intended to be without the male vocals when Wind-up felt that it was best to put a male vocalist into the song for the Daredevil soundtrack. The version that featured Paul McCoy stuck.

In a magazine interview, Chester Bennington of [[Linkin Park]] said that Mike Shinoda was originally asked to be featured on the song. Linkin Park was recording Meteora in the same studio that Evanescence was recording Fallen.
How can you see into my eyes like open doors

My spirit sleeping somewhere cold

Until you find it there and lead it back home

''Written by: [[A. Lee]], [[B. Moody]], and [[D. Hodges]]''

'''[[The Open Door]]:''' Track 6

Stoplight lock the door

Don't look back

Undress in the dark

And hide from you

All of you

You'll never know the way your words have haunted me

I can't believe you'd ask these things of me

You don't know me (now and ever)

You belong to me

My snow white queen

There's nowhere to run

So let's just get it over

Soon I know you'll see

You're just like me

Don't scream anymore my love

'cause all I want is you

Wake up in a dream

Frozen fear

All your hands on me

I can't scream...

I can't scream

I can't escape the twisted way you think of me

I feel you in my dreams and I don't sleep

I don't sleep (for ever and ever)

You belong to me

My snow white queen

There's nowhere to run

So let's just get it over

Soon I know you'll see

You're just like me

Don't scream anymore my love

'cause all I want is you

I can't save your life

Though nothing I bleed for is more tormenting

I'm losing my mind

and you just stand there and stare as my world divides

You belong to me

My snow white queen

There's nowhere to run

So let's just get it over

Soon I know you'll see

You're just like me

Don't scream anymore my love

'cause all I want is you

all I want is you

all I want is you

all I want is you
