Riguarda la separazione. Ci sono molti problemi di relazione di copipa sul disco. Scrivo sempre su ciò che ho vissuto, perché è genuino. Stavo affrontando una relazione che sentivo come qualcosa di completamente inutile. Il primo verso della canzone dice tutto, "Se vuoi vivere, lascia vivere / Se vuoi andare, lascia andare / Cosa stiamo facendo qui?/ Perché io posso vivere senza di te.

Descrizione di Terry Balsamo del processo compositivo della canzone:

If it’s something like the song "Cloud Nine", we got a cool drum beat that we liked. Then she came up with a vocal melody. It was cool because I just took the bass and started writing the bass line to the actual vocal melody. That was something different that I had never really done. We never really had any set way. If there was an idea, we would just do whatever we could to move forward with it.

La canzone è stata aggiunta alla setist del tour di The Open Door nel 2006-07.E' stata in seguito suonata negli unici due concerti del 2009, al NYC Secret Show (4 novembre 2009) e al Maquinaria Festival in Brasile (8 novembre 2009).
