A Perfect Rip of an audio CD means that the music tracks have been copied and verified using a specific program and saved as a mathematically lossless file (such as .wav or .flac). All Perfect Rip downloads on The Evanescence Reference were created using a program called Exact Audio Copy and encoded into FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) to preserve perfect quality while reducing file size.
