Evanescence is Evanescence's third studio self-titled album released by Wind-up Records on October 7, 2011. It was originally scheduled for a late August or early September 2010 release but was delayed due to a number of circumstances which lead to the band spending another year writing and improving new material as well as a change in producers. Amy announced through her Twitter account that the album would finally be released on October 4th, 2011, but MTV News confirmed on July 11th, 2011 that the album had been pushed a week back by Wind-up Records.
