Utah-based emocore band. Released self-titled debut in June 2002.

Bert McCracken, lead singer, went on an offensive on Evanescence after they couldn't play the KROQ (Los Angeles) Weenie Roast in the summer of 2003 because of a Ben Moody illness. Evanescence pulled out of the Weenie Roast and the Used took Evanescence's place.

From an MTV article:

"Evan-offense, what is the band called? Sucka-essence," McCracken joked. "Anyways, that sh--ty band that was supposed to [perform] canceled, so we got their spot and it went beautifully."
