Amy Lee accepting the grammy for Best New Artist, and 50 Cent.

Real name: Curtis Jackson

Jackson was heavily favored to win the 2004 Grammy for Best New Artist. After Evanescence were announced as the winners, Jackson interrupted their victory speech by walking on the stage and posing. Amy Lee calls what 50 Cent did a “Zoolander moment”. It should be noted that Ben Moody and Amy Lee played “PIMP” during their Reality Radio show on Z100. It should also be noted that they performed a date together after the MTV Video Music Awards in Morrison, Colorado.

Following the Grammy's he said this:

"I feel like I got jerked at the Grammys because I'm aggressive. I don't understand how Evanescence got best new artist. I will never go back to the Grammy Awards ever in my career." [1]

Sixteen years later, in 2020, the rapper made another jab at the band for winning the award over him at the unveiling of his Hollywood Walk of Fame star: "I got the largest first album — debut album in hip hop album but you don’t got no Best New Artist trophy. The Best New Artist, they gave that shit to Evanescence. Can you find fucking Evanescence? Mike, I ain’t seen Evanescence since that night."[2]
