Avril Ramona Lavigne (born September 27, 1984) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and actress. She is a key musician in popularizing pop-punk music, as she paved the way for female-driven, punk-influenced pop music in the early 2000s. Her accolades include ten Juno Awards and eight Grammy Awards nominations.
Former Evanescence guitarist Ben Moody co-wrote Nobody's Home on her 2004 album, Under My Skin.[1][2]
When asked about Evanescence, Avril responded by saying, "I’ll answer honestly, sure. I don’t have anything against [Amy], but I think that it is wrong she judges Ben Moody only because he made the decision of leaving the band. I worked with him on my new album and he’s great, my older brother, and believe me, he suffered a lot with that too. Beside that I can say that I like very much their lyrics, because they’re different, beautiful and deep. Ah! And I think that Amy is beautiful too."
