Portishead is an English electronic band formed in 1991 in Bristol. The band comprises Beth Gibbons (vocals), Geoff Barrow (multiple instruments, production), and Adrian Utley (guitar).
Amy Lee has stated that Portishead were an early inspiration. In 2015, she covered the song, It's a Fire, for her Recover, Vol. 1 EP.[1]

This song (and all of Dummy, actually) was a huge inspiration to me in my formative years. I listened to the song recently for the first time in a long time, and fell in love with it all over again. The lyrics are so powerful, they helped me through so much. It is my honour to do this little homemade homage to a group I have loved so much for so long.[2] | ![]() |
In 2020, Evanescence also covered the song, Glory Box, on their livestream concert, A Live Session From Rock Falcon Studio.[3]
