Dark New Day (formerly known as Dark Blue) was an American hard rock supergroup featuring Brett Hestla of Virgos Merlot, Clint Lowery of Sevendust, Corey Lowery of Stereomud and Stuck Mojo, [[Troy McLawhorn]] and [[Will Hunt]]. The band formed in 1995 but because band members were busy with their other bands at the time, they didn't make a record until they reformed in 2004. They released their first album called ''Twelve Year Silence'' on June 14, 2005, followed by the EP ''Black Porch (Acoustic Sessions)'' in 2006. Dark New Day (formerly known as Dark Blue) was an American hard rock supergroup featuring Brett Hestla of Virgos Merlot, Clint Lowery of Sevendust, Corey Lowery of Stereomud and Stuck Mojo, Troy McLawhorn and Will Hunt. The band formed in 1995 but because band members were busy with their other bands at the time, they didn't make a record until they reformed in 2004. They released their first album called Twelve Year Silence on June 14, 2005, followed by the EP Black Porch (Acoustic Sessions) in 2006. In May 2008, Troy McLawhorn left Dark New Day to join Seether.
Though still inactive, Dark New Day released their second album, New Tradition, in 2012. On February 19, 2013, the band released their third album, Hail Mary.
