The video was filmed on March 9 and March 10, 2007 and was directed by [[P. R. Brown|Paul Brown]]. For each day of production, one lucky EvClub member was given the chance to visit the set and take pictures while they watched the video being made (see [[EvClub#EvClub Insider|Contest Details]]).

"Like we're in the walls of our minds, sort of," Lee said.

Sweet Sacrifice Video

Il video è stato registrato il 9 e il 10 Marzo 2007 ed è stato diretto da Paul Brown. Per ogni giorno di produzione, un fortunato membro di EvClub ha avuto l'opportunità di visitare il set e di fare foto mentre guardavano il video che veniva realizzato (vedi i dettagli del concorso).

La CNN ha trasmesso un filmato e alcune foto del dietro-le-quinte del video il 16 Marzo 2007 (video).

"E' soprattutto una performance live," ha detto la cantante Amy Lee recentemente sul set del video di "Sweet Sacrifice". "Non è tanto lanugine,insetti,inganni,lupi e robe varie. E' più che altro legato alla canzone, ed è unico per noi. Di solito noi facciamo cose pazze." Il video ha una "trama cool", che la Lee si è rifiutata di rivelare, ma principalmente mostra la band che si esibisce in un set ispirato al thriller priscoterapista del 2000 "The Cell". "Come se fossimo tra le pareti delle nostre menti, più o meno," ha detto la Lee.

Paul Brown, che ha diretto video per gli Audioslave e i Matisyahu, ha diretto il progetto, che mostra scene del live fotografico proiettate su una parete. "E' una sorta di video nel video," dice la Lee. "Siccome la canzone è il nostro singolo più pesante, volevamo realmente focalizzarci soprattutto sulla performance ma anche avere qualcosa legato ad essa che è davvero unico. E credo che [Paul] sia davvero riuscito a fare ciò." [7]
