La sesta traccia dell'omonimo album degli Evanescence. Il titolo provvisorio di tale traccia era "Vanilla".

In un'intervista traccia-per-traccia con NME.com, Amy ha detto:

Erase This prima era Vanilla, e siamo abituato a quest’ultimo nome. Questa è stata una delle ultime che abbiamo finito. Scrivevo il testo durante il processo di registrazione dell’album, come se avessi avuto dei compiti da fare di notte. Lavoravamo in studio e poi tornavo a casa a finire di scrivere i testi delle canzoni prima di dover rientrare in studio, il che era pazzesco! Di soliuto non faccio così in realtà, c’è sempre qualcosa da scrivere durante il periodo in studio, ma di solito ho già tutte le linee vocali pronte prima di entrare in studio. Ma dato che avevamo scritto così tanto nella fase della pre-produzione, avevo un sacco di testi da scrivere. I testi mi prendono tantissimo tempo, creiamo le musiche e le melodie ma poi passo seriamente tantissimo tempo a pensare profondamente da sola per scrivere.
