Devil May Cry is an adult animated urban fantasy action television series based on the Japanese video game franchise of the same name by Capcom. Created by Adi Shankar and produced by Studio Mir, the series was released on April 3, 2025 on Netflix.

On March 28, 2025, Evanescence released the song Afterlife, written by Amy Lee and Mako, originally as a solo project, for the series.[1][2] The opportunity to write the song came from Netflix through Mako, who scored the episode the Evanescence song is featured in.[2] An alternate version of the song is played in episode 6.
