General information
Lonely is the Muse is a song by American singer, Halsey, that was released as the second single from her fifth studio album, The Great Impersonator, on August 15, 2024.
The song includes elements of alternative rock, hard rock, gothic rock, and grunge song led by guitar and drums, with lyrics that focus on self-worth and resilience. Amy Lee of Evanescence inspired the track, whom Halsey impersonated as part of the album's promotion.[1] Amy Lee responded to the post saying, "High compliment coming from you, my dear".[2]
On February 13, 2025, Evanescence announced that they will be opening for Halsey at her show at the Hollywood Bowl on May 14, 2025.
Halsey posted a silhouette photo of herself with Amy Lee to her Instagram story on May 4, 2025. Amy then reposted the same image to her Instagram story.[3]
