Muppets: The Green Album è una compilation di cover delle canzoni dei Muppet interpretate da artisti famosi, che è stata pubblicata il 23 agosto 2011[1]. L'album fu annunciato, il 13 settembre del 2009, al D23 Expo con il nome di Muppets Revisited. Il titolo e un'allusione all'album dei Beatles: The White Album.
E' stato prodotto un video per la cover di "The Muppet Show Theme", interpretata da OK Go. Il video, diretto da Kirk Thatcher, è stato pubblicato il 23 agosto 2011.
L'album ha debuttato al numero 8 della classifica Billboard 200 nella sua prima settimana di pubblicazione, con 30,000 unità vendute. [2] Ha debuttato al numero 5 sulla classifica Billboard's Top Digital Album. Su iTunes, è stato il quarto album più venduto, l'album rock più venduto, la canzone più venduta ("Rainbow Connection") e video più scaricato ("Muppet Show Theme Song").
L'album contiene la cover "Halfway Down the Stairs" cantata da Amy Lee.
