"Lockdown" is a song written by Amy Lee and Chuck Palmer for the 2014 movie soundtrack, War Story.[1] During an interview with a fan site, Dave Eggar described the song as "amazing" and said that it will be heard during one of the most dramatic moments of the film.[2] "Lockdown" is featured on the official trailer for War Story.[3]
"Lockdown" is included on Amy's soundtrack album Aftermath, which was released on August 25, 2014. Three days before the release of the album, Amy shared a 43-second snippet of the song on her YouTube channel.[4]

A radio promotional single for Lockdown started appearing on eBay around mid September, 2014. An Evanescence photo from 2007 has been used throughout the promotion for Lockdown and Aftermath, first appearing on Amy's iTunes page, Kerrang magazine's feature on Amy in September 2014, and also for this promo cd.
